API
An API or application programming interface is an interface that defines the ways by which an application program may request services from libraries. The Scalr API allows you to perform actions or request information from Scalr, programmatically.
that allows you to execute commands on your infrastructure. For example launching or terminating Instances, getting details for one of your Farms, or listing DNS information.

Current Version

The Current API Version is 2.0.0

Older Versions

Older versions are deprecated. Some of old versions can return unexpected results. You may find them described here: Scalr API 1.0 (deprecated).

Sample libraries & helper scripts

Attached to this page are some sample scripts (PHP, Java, and Perl) for using Scalr's API. Download and modify them to get started easily. Ruby on Rails users are lucky - there is a Gem available for them: Scalr Gem on GitHub.
